Social and Behavior Change Communication - Capacity Assessment Tool (SBCC-CAT) for Use with Individuals

From C-Change/FHI 360, the Social and Behavior Change Communication Capacity Assessment Tool (SBCC CAT) is available in 3 versions: for use with organisations (for an organisation to assess its programmes' and staff's capacity in SBCC), for use with donors and networks (for a donor/network to assess its own capacity and that of the partners they support and manage), and for use with individuals (for individuals and organisations to assess their SBCC knowledge and competencies). The resource being summarised here relates to the latter: the tool for individuals.
Specifically, this tool is used to assess the SBCC knowledge and competence of individuals and how successful a specific training has been for them. Individuals about to take an SBCC training fill in the pre-assessment provided in this document, then fill in the post-assessment right after completing the training. The difference between an individual's scores and ratings in the two assessments allows the training to be monitored and measurably evaluated. The score indicates whether an individual increased his or her SBCC knowledge, skills, and competencies during the training, and the ratings can suggest whether further training or capacity strengthening is needed and in which specific SBCC competencies.
