Knowledge for Health (K4Health) Youth Policy Toolkit

Youth Policy Toolkit is an online resource designed to improve youth reproductive health (YRH) and HIV/AIDS policy worldwide. It was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
This site contains more than 100 full-text policies addressing YRH from countries across the world. The toolkit also contains policymaking resources, including definitions, guiding principles, fact sheets, case studies, interviews with experts, key publications and tools, and helpful links. Readers can access information by clicking on tabs which include communications related strategies as well as others:
- Advocacy - influencing the political climate, public perceptions and public opinion, decision-making, and funding allocations;
- Making policy - learning from the experience of others through case studies and interviews, and training materials and resources to build skills;
- Global guidance - training materials to build skills and knowledge;
- Country policies - ideas for drafting policy;
- Harmful practices - information concerning cultural norms and practices that can contribute to poor reproductive health;
- HIV & sexually transmitted infections (STIs) - training and teaching resources to help prevent HIV/AIDS in young people;
- Nutrition - includes strategies for improving nutrition;
- Poverty reduction - includes strategies for poverty reduction through inclusion of youth in programmes and policies;
- Pregnancy & reproductive health - strategies including access to education and information;
- Trafficking and coercion - includes links to policy and strategy materials addressing human trafficking, violence, and sexual coercion.
A discussion group provides an opportunity for readers to comment on the contents of this website, suggest content, or engage in a dialogue with other practitioners.
