Innocenti Report Cards Series
SummaryText
This ongoing series from the Innocenti Research Centre of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) focuses on the well-being of children in industrialised countries. Each Report Card includes a "league table" ranking the countries of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) according to their record on the subject under discussion. Topics covered have included child care, child poverty, educational disadvantage among children, teenage births, and child maltreatment deaths. The Report Cards are published every six months and are designed to appeal to a wide audience while maintaining academic rigour.
The 2008 publication is entitled The Child Care Transition: a league table of early childhood education and care in economically advanced countries authored by Peter Adamson. All of the publications are available for purchase in a print copy for US$12 and free of charge in downloadable PDF format.
